Rubbish =P

I've got less than two weeks left until I head back into college (and hopefully start planning); I really did tell myself I would have all this blog designed and begin posting more often... that didn't happen.

I've figured I need to give it some sort of focus, as to what, I'm not sure as of yet; but I may begin designing the graphics I want to use in my free time - It has Rawry the Lion in it =D

Managed to take my mum(sy), brother and grandparents into Liverpool today! And I didn't lose any of them. I did however end up carrying the 'dad bag'... maybe it is a sign of me getting old, alternatively I'm just super cool and the bag should be renamed 'the super cool bag of wonderous thingamabobs'.

I've grown fond of Liverpool over the past few months and grown quite distant from Manchester. Shocking, considering how much I used to adore the latter - as my mum said today, Liverpool just has some kind of charm about it and everything feels much nicer. A good example of this is the World Museum! It's quite an amazing museum considering it's free, including the variety of shows they offer, even so I'd much rather give money to the folks there than many of the other museums/attractions in the North West.

This has become quite a garbled post... but hey ho, maybe I'll write more if I don't think before I type =] Time to fill my boots.

Laptop go Kaboom =[

It would seem the world just isn't quite ready for me to fully design this blog, nor start vlogging.

Friday evening (as the may suggest) my laptop went "Kaboom" or... slightly more similar to "Hisssss, Whizzzzz, Boom, KABOOM, Crackle". It resulted in a muchly burnt laptop and also a ruined carpet - damn HP Lithium-Ion batteries =[

In hindsight, it's incredibly lucky that Martin suggested I'd show my mother a video of Dr.Thingymabob from the Green Wing giving himself a coffee enema (lol). Else, it could well have happened in bed and been much worst. Also rather thankful for my Belkin mini desk thingy which definitely saved my lap!

In the end I think we were all much more worried that four bottles of beer and a mango dip had been wasted.

Happy times for me having downloaded the BloggerPress app from iTunes quite some time ago.

In further news from this week my observation came through as being grade 1 (the highest) which made me smile, but, now I need to keep up with maintaining it in the future.

Anyhoo, I turn two little ducks on Thursday =D

Busy Times

Times have been very busy at work!

Only 10 more days until I get to leave until my contract renews on 24th August =D should be exciting times, although it's a shame I'll be in the classroom as my boyfriend gets more and more exciting about going off to university.

I was observed today also, very very brief feedback would indicate that I did well, but i won't find out until Thursday exactly the opinions formed of me during the hour.

Anyhow, I was tralling through my *junk* email account and came across some sales from Fotolia, it's a pretty cool website especially considering the images I uploaded on there I did during my first year of University and they're slowly but surely selling. For some reason the image below is my "best seller":

It's only a very tiny sized version of the picture, but, if anybody would like to see some larger versions of what I produced you should check out here: Bowlol's Crappy Pictures, it's even signed up with my old username =P

Roll on July 1st!!

Waterloo Road

How crazy is Waterloo Road?!
Not only does is not reflect a real school (Teachers was much better at that =P ), but it also seems to slip into some time warp where it can fit in a dozen themes and make an hour increase exponentially, yet still be mostly interesting.

It's almost like Providence, why did I watch it? It was pretty much about nothing... looped the same storylines over and over and then seemed to have slipped off the circle of cliche and disappeared. It will probably be found in Sweden with the rest of the infamous apparating Ikea customers.

Anyhoo, not really too sure I wrote the above. But I'm still watching Waterloo Road, and the kids have just done drugs.

YouTube

I'm finally starting to sort my YouTube channel out so that I can begin Vlogging soon. I'm not sure whether to get on with it ASAP, or wait until I can buy a Mac BookPro... this notebook is slowly but surely dying (but living twice as long as it's predaccessor!)

I am, however, starting to think of some ideas; although, lots more would be welcome. Hopefully it'll be all cool and dandy.

Three Months

I just noticed... I managed to write 10 days in succession (I think) back in Febuary, and now it's been three whole months since I last posted! Making me rather rubbish =[

I really need July 1st to come around so I can start thinking about customising this and making some actual attempt at getting followers =P

Anyhow, I'm going to try and start writing at least every other day, and hopefully, this time it will stick =]

Half Term!

I cannot wait!
A whole week off, even though I know it will fly by. It means I get to spend lots of time with the boy I love and also get to see my family a bit more. Teaching (even though it's only 3 days a week at the moment) takes up so much of my time =[

For example, I should have finished around half 4 today, but noooo, I didn't get out til 6. Silly examination board checking people are visiting in two weeks. Hence, a meeting was called... which it turned out I didn't really need to be there for (nonetheless I found out what some acronyms were for the future).

Tomorrow is quite a dull day teaching-wise, but it is the start of the half term... Here's hoping tomorrow morning flies by!

Valentines

Just a quickie blog tonight; had a really nice day with Martin today and I really can't wait for an extra long weekend with him =D

I've spent the last hour and half "making" a gift! And it's really made my eyes tired =[ far more tired than I thought I would be. It needs finishing tomorrow night too! eep. May have to sneakily do some of it at work =P

Joys of Teaching

Having had Ofsted in last week, I really wasn't feeling in the mood to returning to teach at college today - all my enthusiastic energy seemed to have been drained from me.

Despite the first two hours of "prep time", where I had very little to do... because I'm already prepared; teaching today was an absolute delight!

The first session, ran smoothly, and everyone is really getting the hang of manipulating sound and hopefully it will result in us creating a really cool, thought out, podcast. The second session was a tad different, one of my students pulled me out at the start of the lesson to ask if she could spend the lesson creating a presentation to thank another member of the class for being so supportive. I figured, that this would be a great experience for the class, and of course agreed to let her do it.

With a little bit of help on the grammar she was ready to present what she had made infront of the whole class. I think everyone was taken back, particularly my ALS (teaching assistant) whose eyes were on the brim of crying! This class is *the* one which reminds me why I've wanted to be a teacher - even though they're a lower ability, they're so keen to learn, attentive and willing to accept anyone within their group. It makes me happy, and I wish many people (not just students)could see how they interact and take a leaf out of their book.

Red Hot Precious

And so today we headed to Liverpool.
My intentions were to buy new clothes and shoes, but that failed - as it often does. I think the best way for me to shop may be the internet, then I can just click when I like something a little bit and just regret it later.

We ended up going to watch "Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire", I think all four of us got, at least, teary eyed (my attempt at stopping this was just to squeeze Martin's hand/arm =P). My only problem with the film was that it would build up all this emotion from me and then diminish it all with something quite funny (note Precious' daughter (Mongo) saying 'Bye' in a loud, cute voice, after a very emotional scene with the Welfare Officer) Anyhoo it was very good and, unlike many films, I can actually see me watching it again in the near future.

We followed the film with a rather yummy trans-world buffet. There was just so much to choose from! In fact, two much to fit even a small taster of everything in, in just one sitting. The desserts alone consisted of a dozen or so different ice creams, half a dozen different cakes, two cheesecakes, apple crumble! (and custard!!!), mouses, big jellies and little jellies. And then there were loads of jars with sweets in - dolly mixtures, midget gems, jelly beans etc.

Will most definitly have to return there in the next few weeks =D

And finally, I promised to upload some Jedward pics from the rugby match and here they are!

And, that's pretty much all there is to say for this evening.

Jedward! =O

Today has been fun ^.^

I got to wake up next to my amazing boyfriend, albeit we had to get up about 6 after getting to sleep around half 2! I really should be quite tired right now, but it hasn't quite hit yet.

This afternoon then consisted of two of the wonders of the world - JEDWARD and Rugby. I'll upload some pictures of those super cool twins tomorrow. It was a shame, quite a few evil folk boo'd them but it was nice to hear people singing along to Ghostbusters and such. They just have so much energy, I wonder if they ever sleep?

Rugby ended 58-0 to Warrington XD - was fairly fun and involved the ref (Thierry Alibert) accidentally crashing into one of the Warrington players just as they were to score.

This blog is awfully boring... but I'm not feeling terribly thoughtful this evening =[

I did read a brief review of Ghost Stories tho, apparently one woman had to leave the stalls only a few minutes in. Quite tension building.

Crosby!

I met some of Martin's friends tonight. They were very nice and we had fun!

There's not much else to write about today, had quite a lazy afternoon =P

Today has just made me love you more =]

Rocking Sumo

I nearly didn't write anything!
Today has been cool, the college just received a 2 from Ofsted (from 4 and lots of notices to improve)! And now I'm with my amazing boyfriend ^.^

Here's the crazy rocking sumo thingy on his bedside table =P

Southport (excuse for a tiny blog)

I didn't want to break my run of daily blogs... I was hoping there'd be an interesting fact from the pub quiz (there wasn't). Alas, I need something to write about:

Last weekend we took a trip to Southport and walked up to the pier and drank tea - resulting in teaside!

Colds! Grrrr

When I wrote my first entry I was feeling fit and fine. Come the end of my evening I'm completely stuffed up and it's only getting worst as today has gone on (luckily no work on Wednesday!), not particularly enjoying the idea of working tomorrow =[

However, the day was not a loss. The rather wonderful Martin came and visited (even though I was awfull sniffley), I always fail to actually buy any clothes when I intend to do when we're around town centres still. I did by Valkyria Chronicles finally though.

I forgot! We're going to see Ghost Stories  on 13th February (thanks again to Martin). Excited and scared at the same time =P

I wanted some sort of in-depth introduction in my second post. Alas, man-flu has presented this.

Introduction - sort of.

I just decided I should start writing a blog.
Maybe no one will read it, but maybe someone will - and it will make you smile. Or, maybe even get angry!

If not, at least I can look back at this and remember all the things I document ^.^
I want to fill this with lots of random photos and writings from my wandering around. I doodle a lot too, so maybe I'll upload some of those sometimes too!

I'm in love and he makes me happy; he lent me "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", it was an awesome book and I was quite sad to be losing Charlie as the narrator at the end of the book.

I'll introduce myself better in the near future, along with making the layout somewhat more original. However, today has been quite tiring and so I bid you adéu
